Shades of Blue
I call this one-of-a-kind wall piece Shades of Blue. The graduated coloration from blue to light aqua recalls the ocean, the coast and all things summer.
Shades of Blue is woven with wire, using the traditional basketry technique called twining. The form is tray-like, but is intended to hang on a wall. (It is not a functional tray.) I have included a photo of the piece with an apple to give you a sense of the scale.
Size: 11 3/4" dia. x 2" deep
Materials: colored silver-plated wire (tarnish resistant), colored copper wire
