Electric Blue

$600.00

“Electric Blue” was the second piece in my 2024 “Shapes” series of little sculptural wire vessels. Three different vivid blue colored wires are woven together to create softly blended vertical stripes. For a little taste of the scale and the process - check out the work-in-progress video below.

This wire basketry piece is woven completely by hand. I formed the shape as the weaving progressed. It is woven with fine gauge colored copper wire and colored silver-plated wire. It is signed with my initials “SLS” and the year completed.

I love the slow process of my basketry work – slow building. I wish I could show the process along with the finished piece, because for me it is a significant part of the whole.

Overall size: 4 1/4” tall x 2 1/2" wide x 2 1/2" deep
