Conical

$450.00

“Conical” was the first in my 2024 series of little sculptural wire vessels. It is woven with 2 wire colors that combine beautifully, spiraling together up the form. The shape and color work together to create this elegant, lyrical, little piece. For a better sense of its scale, check out the video below.

This sculptural basketry piece is woven completely by hand. I formed the shape as the weaving progressed. It is woven with fine gauge colored copper wire and is signed with my initials “SLS” and the year completed.

I love the slow process of my basketry work – slow building. I wish I could show the process along with the finished piece, because for me it is a significant part of the whole.

Overall size: 4 5/8” tall x 2 3/8" wide x 2 3/8" deep
