Hammered Copper Figure Eight Necklace
This one-of-a-kind copper pendant is the result of an “I wonder if I can I do it?” idea. Apparently I can! The copper is folded and then hammered in specific areas to create the curves that form the figure eight shape. The edges of the folded copper are then opened up a bit to create a layered ruffled edge on the lower loop. The pendant hangs on a sterling silver chain with a lovely gray patina.
The copper is lightly flame colored and then sealed with a clear coat to preserve the warm coloration and prevent tarnishing.
Chain length: 18 1/2"
Pendant size: 2 1/2” long x 1 5/8” wide
