Softly Folded Copper Leaf Earrings

These copper leaf earrings have interesting soft, deep folds and a wonderful flame-colored heat patina. The folds in the copper are created by folding the metal with a special tool - in this case I used an antique fabric crimper/pleater! The way light and shadow accentuate the folds is wonderful. The flame-like colors in the patina were created with heat and are simply beautiful. The leaves have been sealed with a clear coat to preserve the patina.
